150 Cheapside

THE REQUIREMENT

150 Cheapside required an upgrade to their existing propriety access control and CCTV system across site which had unfortunately became unsupported in time with the incumbent supplier. Due to the closed protocol nature of this product they had minimal upgrade options outside of a full system upgrade and required a solution which moving forward meant they were not tied to a single provider.

THE SOLUTION

Virtus Security were tasked with providing the client with an integrated system which met and surpassed there existing systems functionality but also simplified the processes associated with the administration and general day to day operation of the system. We also needed to ensure that the option we pursued enabled the client to have a seamless integration with minimal disruption to their tenant’s day to day experience of accessing site. After looking at various manufacturers we chose to discuss with the client the opportunity to use the xPLAN V9x ACS solution in their property, this product has numerous valuable additions to the software which enable future proofing of the system and include but not limited to: free software upgrades, wireless access control capabilities and license free addition of doors without the additional costs that some manufacturers may implement. The system also enabled us to utilise another of our preferred suppliers Hikvision to supply the CCTV hardware which in turn integrated with the access control using the PLAN graphical user interface. After fine tuning the requirements and numerous meeting with the client the xPLAN access control solution was chosen as our preferred supplier.

THE RESULT

The client has been provided with a full turnkey Integrated solution to meet with their access control and CCTV requirements, the project was carried out over a 4 week period which included the initial time spent compiling the card holder and site information to enable a seamless project from start to finish. The end product was a powerful integrated solution which not only simplifies the processes but provides a great number of additional capabilities to be implemented in the future.
