Virtus Security recently completed the full fire, security and data package at the second phase of the walthamstow gateway project, the project consisted of 79 high end apartments spread over 11 floors
ACCESS CONTROL – DOOR ENTRY
Virtus supplied, installed and commissioned access control to a number of entrance’s throughout site including bin/bike storage areas and access to the properties demise in line with the secured by design requirements. Each resident has digital key which enables entry to the building based on the access levels provided. The system is an online system which enables reporting and the easy administration of adding and deleting users.
CCTV
Hikvision IP CCTV cameras have been installed on the project using a data infrastructure installed by ourselves, the client has full access to the IVMS software for reviewing of the CCTV footage.
DATA INFRASTRUCTURE
A complete data infrastructure has been installed by Virtus in each apartment to enable the provision of internet throughout by the chosen provider, every apartment has a number of dedicated ethernet points routed back to the communications for connection to the internet.
DOOR ENTRY
Utilising the fermax range of digital door entry systems we provided door entry systems throughout site from the main entrance to the 79 apartments, each apartment has a colour video entry screen to enable them to view and communicate with the visitor prior to providing entry.
FIRE ALARM
An advanced MX5 panel was utilized along with Hochiki protocol detection, the system was implemented as L3 system following the initial fire risk assessment provided by the client which included all escape routes, such as corridors and staircases and communal areas.
TV-IRS SYSTEM
A 5 wire integrated reception system was implemented throughout site, this included transmission to the 79 dwellings inclusive of terrestrial TV, DAB,FM and sky services.
We installed the main infrastructure from antennae array to distribution locations inclusive of all internal cabling, testing and commissioning of the solution.
The project was completed on time and in budget by the Virtus, we worked with or client to ensure deadlines were met and any variations were implemented in timely manner to ensure handover deadlines were met
The completion of this project further shows our competence is completing large scale projects for the student accommodation and multi tenanted property sector.
